Enrichment of the nonconforming virtual element method with singular functions

We construct a nonconforming virtual element method (ncVEM) based on approximation spaces that are enriched with special singular functions. This ncVEM is tailored for the of solutions to elliptic problems, which have singularities due geometry domain. Differently from traditional extended Galerkin approach, enrichment local functions, no partition unity employed. Rather, design hinges upon structure spaces. discuss theoretical analysis and support it several numerical experiments. also present an orthonormalization procedure drastically trimming ill-conditioning final system.
